IQRAA Foundation donates N1m to Violence Survivors in Zamfara

From Ahmed Attahir  The IQRAA Foundation with support from LEAP Africa in collaboration with  Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF),have distributed One Million Naira Livelihood Grant to survivors of violence in Zamfara State.   The foundation has also trained 100 youth, across four communities in Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism and countering the spread of fake news. Zamfara state APC chairman Hon.Tukur Umar Dan Fulani  From Ahmed Attahir  The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, Zamfara state, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani has donated N10 million naira,100 bags of rice to the party executives in the state.  In a statement issued on Saturday by the Zamfara state APC publicity secretary Malam Yusuf Idris said the money and bags of rice was handed over to the state Secretary of the  party, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima who is to share to the executives. According to him, the gesture was in appreciation to the hard work, dedication and support to party leaders at all levels in the state. "The gesture is also part of initiatives to improve the welfare of party leaders and to motivate them to be more proactive in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities which in turn will make the party more acceptable and popular in the state". Lawmaker dismissal : Court urged Zamfara Assembly to Maintains status quo.

Aliyu Ango Kagara an APC lawmaker representing Talata Mafara South Constituency in the state. The Judge, Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim ordered that the status quo be maintained pending hearing of the Motion on Notice and the substantive suit before the court,adjourned the case to March 12, 2025. This followed a suit No FHC/GSCS/10/2025 filed by the aggrieved member, Hon Aliyu Ango Kagara against the Zamfara State House of Assembly, the Speaker of the House and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as first, second and third defendants respectively before the Federal High Court presided over by Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim on the 19/2/2025 challenging his sack by the leadership of the assembly.
