From : Ayodele Ajoge, Birnin-Kebbi  APC stakeholders from the 21 Local Government Areas of Kebbi State converged on Haliru Audu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday and affirmed Governor Nasir Idris as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 Governorship election. The affirmation ceremony was conducted by the APC National Committee for Gubernatorial Primaries in the state, led by Hon. Abdulmalik Muhamud. The Gubernatorial Primaries Appeal Committee, INEC officials, and other relevant bodies monitored and supervised the exercise. Speaking during the exercise, Hon. In a letter personally signed by Dr sani Abdullahi Shinkafi to the chairman committee APC Senate Primary election panel, available to newsmen on Thursday evening, was also copied to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda National Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC). From Ahmed Attahir  The Former governor of Zamfara state and serving senator Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar has shunned APC reconciliation meeting held in Gusau, ahead of national assembly primaries in the state.  The meeting held between monday and Tuesday was aimed at uniting the party's supporters in Zamfara state .   From Ahmed Attahir  A Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), and senator aspiring in Zamfara north Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, has raised concerned over National Assembly primaries in the state, saying it's an affirmation of anointed candidates and political banditry in the state.  Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Gusau, Dr Shinkafi described the process as “imposition of candidates and political banditry, alleging that Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, arrived in Zamfara with a private jet alongside past and present governors to enforce the directive. According to Shinkafi, Matawalle and the governor told aspirants that President Bola Tinubu had ordered all senatorial aspirants to withdraw for serving senators ahead of primaries. “This undemocratic order, if actually made by Mr President, does not comply with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026,” Shinkafi said.
