Professor Nasiru Anka gave the assurance on Saturday evening in Gusau while presenting awards to winners of sports competition held at Zamfara state college of Arts and Science (ZACAS) playing ground in the state. The Acting Head of Civil Service,until her appointment, She was the Permanent Secretary ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in the state. Hajiya Aisha officially assumed duty on Wednesday, following the retirement of Safiyanu Garba Bena, who stepped down after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60. Kebbi LG elections : KESIEC begins distribution of sensitive materials.

From Aminu umar Bukkuyum The Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) yesterday commenced distribution of sensitive materials to various Local Government Areas for Saturday's LG elections across the state.  The distribution exercise was conducted at the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force in Birnin Kebbi. Speaking during the exercise, the Commissioner in-charge of Information and Communication, Alhaji Muhammad Kaura Dan-Hakimi, described the distribution of the sensitive election materials as very necessary and important. It could be recalled the KESIEC had fixed Saturday, August 31, 2024 for the local government elections across Kebbi State. The commissioner explained that the sensitive materials for the elections were under the custody of the police, adding that they were all intact and would be distributed to all the 21 local government of the state for onward transmission
