Insecurity: Group mobilized Ulamas, organizes Special prayer in Zamfara

From our reporter A group of concern citizens for peace, security and stability in Zamfara state have mobilized Ulamas, organized a special prayer under the umbrella of Dauda Lawal coalition organization in the state. The special prayer which was organized for the second time in the state, was held on Thursday at the Gusau Central prayer ground,witnessed by some Ulamas, State government officials,students of both primary and secondary schools in the state. The special prayer was organized to seek for God intervention to the insecurity bedeviling the state. Speaking at the prayer session,the chairman of the Organising committee professor Nasir Anka who was represented by the committee secretary Alhaji Nasiru Garba said that some Ulamas, scholars and thousands of students were in attendance to seek for Allah Guidance on banditry activities across the state. Zamfara Philanthropist offers scholarship to 13 students of Tertiary institutions.

From our reporter A philanthropist in Zamfara state Alhaji Sanusi Bala Turaki has offered scholarship to 13 students of various tertiary institutions in the state. The development came barely two weeks to the commencement of first semester examination in which a number of students of the Federal University Gusau are yet to pay school fees for the 2022/2023 academic session. This is sequel to the prevailing socio-economic hardship and increase of school fees by the management of the institution. Turaki, through his foundation “Maituta Support Organisation (MSO)”, presented registration fees to the 13 beneficiaries in Gusau. Sanusi Bala, represented at the occasion by the Chairman of the foundation, Zaharadeen Sarki said the gesture was aimed at supporting  students from less-privileged families. “The registration fees of the beneficiaries were bankrolled by the philanthropist.
