The special prayer which was organized for the second time in the state, was held on Thursday at the Gusau Central prayer ground,witnessed by some Ulamas, State government officials,students of both primary and secondary schools in the state. The special prayer was organized to seek for God intervention to the insecurity bedeviling the state. From our reporter A philanthropist in Zamfara state Alhaji Sanusi Bala Turaki has offered scholarship to 13 students of various tertiary institutions in the state. The development came barely two weeks to the commencement of first semester examination in which a number of students of the Federal University Gusau are yet to pay school fees for the 2022/2023 academic session. This is sequel to the prevailing socio-economic hardship and increase of school fees by the management of the institution. Turaki, through his foundation “Maituta Support Organisation (MSO)”, presented registration fees to the 13 beneficiaries in Gusau. Sanusi Bala, represented at the occasion by the Chairman of the foundation, Zaharadeen Sarki said the gesture was aimed at supporting  students from less-privileged families. “The registration fees of the beneficiaries were bankrolled by the philanthropist.
