Speaking to gathering of business groups at central market in Gusau,state capital on Saturday, the controller CBN, Zamfara state branch Mallam Buhari Abbas said the sensitization embarked upon was to ensure proper public awareness on the designed new naira notes and expiration of old ones. He explained that the awareness campaign was to  make the general public both rural and urban communities know the deadline set by the federal government for the expiration of old naira notes is still 31th of January, nothing has changed.   Zamfara state acting director of NOA Aminu Ibrahim  Ahmed Attahiru  Ahead of deadline for transactions with old naira notes,the National Orientation Agency (NOA)Zamfara state has embarked on sensitization at Mosques, Churches, Motor parks and markets places in the state.  Speaking on friday at Gusau central motor park,the acting Zamfara state director of NOA Aminu  Ibrahim said the sensitization embarked upon was in collaboration with Central bank, Gusau, to ensure proper public awareness on the designed new naira notes. According to him, the awareness campaign was to further alert the general public on the deadline set by the CBN for the expiration of old naira notes.
