World Hand washing : Cleanliness is next to Godliness -- Zamfara Gov's wife.

Ahmed Attahir The Zamfara state Governor's Wife, Hajiya Huriyya Lawal has expressed conscience on the need to always observe the hand washing  practice, saying that Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The Governor's wife gave the advised today in Gusau at the occasion of world hand washing day organized by Nigeria Governors' Wives Forum in collaboration with Proctor and Gamble in the state. Rising insecurity: Zamfara Group organizes Special prayer,Seek God intervention

Ahmed Attahir Following rising insecurity,a group of Zamfara concern citizens for peace, security and stability have organized a special prayer under the umbrella of Dauda Lawal coalition organization in the state. The special prayer which was organized on Thursday at the Gusau Central prayer ground was witnessed by pupils, students of both primary and secondary schools in the state. It was organized to seek for God intervention to the rising insecurity that bedeviled the entire Zamfara, north and the country at large. Speaking at the prayer session,the chairman of the Organising committee professor Nasir Anka disclosed that over 100 Islamic scholars and thousands of students were in attendance to seek for Allah Guidance on banditry activities across the state. Ahmed Attahir The Zamfara state chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasani has donated fifty million naira (N50m) to national Working Committee (NWC) led by Dr Gilbert Agbo as the party urged supporters to pray both at Mosque and Church for the victory of Kano Governor at the appeal court. Speaking with Nigerian Tribune on Sunday in Gusau,the Zamfara NNPP chairman, Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasani said the donation was to enable the party persuade it legal rights in some states and administration. "Financial aids have started pouring into the purse of NNPP which would enable the party settle legal fees in the various courts across the country".  Danmasani appreciated the king gesture of chief Felix  Chukwurah from Anambra state who before now have donated the sum of thirty million naira and his building in abuja. Ahmed Attahir Following the outbreak of Cholera in  Zamfara State,the commissioner Ministry of Health Dr Aisha Mohammed Anka has disclosed that state government has taken measures, collaborates with relevant stakeholders and development partners to address the outbreak of diseases in the State. Speaking on Friday evening at Anka Cholera isolation center in Anka town,the Commissioner for Health Dr. A'isha  Anka stated this when she received the State Governor Dauda Lawal who visited isolation camp at Anka to sympathize with the victims of the cholera outbreak in the state. Dr. A'isha  Anka disclosed that the ministry, some stakeholders and development partners such as Medicines Sans Frontier (MSF) have been up and doing since when the outbreak was reported in the state. Presenting the items today, the Commissioner disclosed that the gesture was part of Governor Dauda Lawal widow mind to ensure the welfare and well-being of orphans in the state. In a statement issued by the information officer ministry of women, children and social development Suleiman Isah said that Governor Lawal has stressed that henceforth, the orphans will be fed with healthy and quality foods that contains nutrients. Sickle cell Campaign ; 100 Screened Free,60 patients receives Cash donations in Zamfara.

Ahmed Attahir No fewer than 100 people have been screened free on Sickle cell disease,as 60 patients received cash donations from Zamfara state government. The screening exercise was conducted  during the end of the month sickle cell campaign organized by the Zamfara state government through the ministry of women, children and Social development in the state. Speaking during the occasion held in Gusau, the state capital,the first lady Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal who was represented by the commissioner ministry of women, children and Social development Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun is determined to assist patients with medications in the state. "About 100 people have benefited from free sickle cell disease screening exercise, and 60 patients living with the disease received financial support  during this end of month sickle cell disease campaign in the state". She stressed that  Governor Dauda Lawal is committed  to the well being of  women and children in the areas of Healthcare
