The President Movement for peace , Justice and Pacific Resolution Prof. Kabir Umar Jabaka has renounced any form of insurrection, industrial action in the name of protest,called on all state chapters to shun planned nationwide protest, saying planned protest is an ill wind.

In a statement issued on Monday evening in Gusau,the Zamfara State capital,the national president of the association, Prof Jabaka said they uphold enlightening the public the essence of embracing dialogue.

"The association wishes to inform all its state chapters as well as the general public that it renounces in totality any form of insurrection and or industrial action in the name of protest or otherwise and  hence calls on all its state chapters to shun  the impending planned nation wide protest and actively uphold enlightening the public on the essence of embracing dialogue".

"As a peaceful resolution promoting movement and as proven by our long outstanding researches, the planned protest is an ill wind that blows nobody any good  and hence appeal for restraint to properly register our plight with the authorities concerned for dialogue for viable lasting solutions". 

"Nobody is in darkness about the fact that due to our long standing insecurity our country is awash with illegally possessed firearms and overrun by unprecedented criminalities in the history of our nation,following on which is also a great deal of unemployment and hunger sufficient enough to detonate the unseen explosive in ire of this distressed populace. Hence the need to exercise caution".

According to him,their association also never oblivious of the fact that what has not been achieved by compromise can never be achieved by war and all wars' grievances end at the round table.

"We however fully discern the plight of the public and thus rest assure the public of taking the onus to properly register their plight with the leadership of the Senate, House of Representatives and the Executive appealing for a quick intervention in the following forms.

The association further Calle for a State of Emergency in food security in the nation by quickly subsidising food and other essential commodities in the country and facilitating and supporting sufficient supplies in our markets.

"The authority should also Look into the possibility of quickly swinging into action in restoring full\larger part of fuel subsidy, Nigeria is ours, Peace is its own price. Stability and growth are products of peace". They emphasized

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state.
