APC National Women leader flags off grassroots empowerment in Zamfara.

The National women leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr.Betta Edu has flagged off pilot women grassroots empowerment programme, in Maradun local government Area of Zamfara State.

Speaking at the formal presentation of cash to beneficiaries on Saturday in Maradun Town,Dr Betta disclosed that a total of one thousand women farmers are to benefit from the gesture in the area. 

"The distribution of the empowerment range from N20,000 to N100,000 to each of the benefitting woman in the area".she stated.

According to the National women leader,the gesture would go along way in assisting the less privileged women to be self reliance in the society.

She assured of APC continue laudable programmes of providing succumb to less privileged persons particularly women across the country.

She called on women to continue praying and give their maximum support for APC victory both at States and national level. 

In his remarks, Governor Bello Mohammed Mattawale commended the national women leader Dr Betta Edu for flagging in the programme in the state.

He appreciated the efforts of the present national leadership of APC for going more closer to the electorate, particularly women  farmers in the state. 

"The empowerment programme has compliments the state government initiative of assisting women with cash every months,since the inception of the present administration across the 147 wards of the 14 local government areas in the state"
