Killing of 9 year old child in Zamfara : Family cries out over court delay.

Family of a 9 year old Ahmad Yakubu who was brutally killed and eaten by suspected cannibal In zamfara state has cried out over delay of justice.

Addressing newsmen on Wednesday at NUJ press center,Gusau,the spokesman for the family Salisu  Abdulrahman said after 5 months now there was no headway on the case.

"The incident was reported on the media in the last 5months in the state,We need justice,after 2 to 3 sitting at the magistrate court in Gusau,there was no headway to the case".

According to him,the delay in justice was allegedly cause by  some influencers who are toying with the trial.

"Neither the state government no  security agency in the state has said anything about the trial of Aminu Baba who was alleged to have killed and ate body parts of a 9 year old Ahmad Yakubu (Victim)". 

The family,therefore Called on Anthoney General and minister of justice,CSO's to intervene and do justice to the family of the deceased Ahmad Yakubu.

It could be recalled that the zamfara state police on the 4th of January, 2022, acted on an intelligence report and arrested four suspects in connection with the murder.

Those arrested include Aminu Baba aged 57-years-old, Abdulshakur Moh’d aged 20-years-old, Abdullahi Buba aged 17-years and Ahmad Tukur 14-year-old.

Exhibits recovered include “intestine, esophagus, penis and two (2) eyes”.

During interrogation, one of the suspects, Abdulshakur Moh’d confessed that this was the third time he was contracted by the first suspect Aminu Baba to source for human parts at the sum of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000).

Moh’d further confessed that he and two others deceived the victim, took him to an uncompleted building, killed him, and removed the following human parts; intestine, esophagus, penis, and two (2) eyes.i

Aminu Baba revealed that he usually eats the human parts and sells some parts.
