2023 : I will work to ensure PDP Governorship candidate win in Zamfara --- Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has assured to rescue Zamfara, says he would work  for the victory of PDP candidate come 2023 in the state.

In a statement issued in Gusau, by Zamfara State PDP publicity Secretary,said Atiku Abubakar assured  that he would work  to ensure PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Dauda Lawal wins the 2023 general elections in the state.

The former Vice President was speaking when Dauda Lawal led PDP officials and top political stakeholders in the state who paid him a courtesy visit.

According to the PDP presidential candidate, the only way to rescue and rebuild Zamfara is by voting APC out in the 2023 general elections. 

“To achieve that, there is the need for having a united PDP which will be formidable enough to face any opposition no matter how difficult it may be.

“The best thing to do for the people of Zamfara State is to bring about peace, secure farms, and provide businesses. But the situation now is otherwise. We must unseat the APC to rescue and rebuild the state and the country. PDP administration would resuscitate the textile industry.






Earlier on, the PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr. Dauda Lawal who led PDP stakeholders and All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwarts that decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulated  Atiku Abubakar on his victory at the party primaries which gave him the presidential ticket of the party for the 2023 general elections.

Lawal expressed confidence that Nigerians are now comfortable with the PDP having felt the brunt of the bad governance of the ruling All Progressive Congress.

 “Getting these stalwarts is a big harvest for PDP in Zamfara state, considering the caliber, status, and political value of the persons that left the APC.”

Among the Zamfara State APC stalwarts received by Atiku Abubakar are Alhaji Salihu Mai Buhu Gummi, Alhaji Sahabi Liman Kaura, Alhaji Illili Bakura, Engr. Garba Ahmad Yandi, Hon. Ikra Bilbis, Dr. Na’Allah Isa Mayana, Hon. Mukhtar Lugga and host of others.

The Zamfara PDP Candidate presented to Atiku a hand-made PDP regalia as a symbol of what Zamfara used to be.

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state.
