Social Responsibility: Zamfara Philanthropist renovate PHC with N2.7m.

A Philanthropist in Zamfara state,Alhaji Rabiu Suleman has renovated Nahuce primary Health care with N2.7m as part of his social responsibility to the community in the state. 


Alhaji Rabi’u Suleman Nahuce of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State has singlehandedly renovated the primary health with facilities. 


"The sum of two Million Seven Hundred and Forty Thousand naira (2,740,000) were expended on the project by the philanthropist".


The philanthropist has repaired and painted facility structure, renovated male and female wards, mosque, administrative block, maternity ward and labour room.


Other renovation carried out were provision of mattresses and bedsheets,renovation of theater and laboratory sections as well as provision of solar battery to the PHC.


In a brief occasion held at Nahuce town, the commissioner for health Aliyu Abubakar MC unbehalf of the state government appreciated the effort of the philanthropist for the kind gesture.


The State Commissioner who was represented by the Executive Secretary State Primary Health Care Board Dr. Isma’il Tukur said the decision to invest in the health care provision by the philanthropist had came at a time when community are fully involved on health policies and programmes.


“Community Engagement Strategy CES was introduced in order to ensure community take ownership of health programmes and policies”


He said the present administration of Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle had recently directed for the recruitment of additional manpower to man the existing health facilities at primary and secondary levels in which Nahuce PHC would be a beneficiary.


He applauded the foresight of the philanthropist and appealed to other well to do persons and corporate bodies to emulate him in this noble direction.


Earlier in their speeches Bungudu Local government Director PHC and Local government Immunization officer (LIO),Ibrahim S/Fulani and Murtala Bala Kuga reminded parents and caregivers to take advantage of the project and services been provided by the State Government and partners to ensure getting their children immunized against diseases and women attending ANC services and delivery at facility to reduce maternal and neonatal death.


The entire facility staff and health workers in the area were advised to be alive to their duties as they would account before Allah how they handled the trust (Amanat) given to them.


The occasion was witnessed by Permanent Secretary General Services, Usman Marafa Iyan Bungudu, District Head of Nahuce Keku, Suleman Marafa Nahuce, Director Disease Control and Immunizations ZSPHCB, Lawali Bello Kaura and Dr. Abdullahi Marafa Nahuce who presented goodwill messages.
