Zamfara govt recruits 1000 Health providers,organises 5 day refresher training in Gusau.

The Zamfara State government has has organised refresher training for the 100p recruited health care providers across the 14 local government areas in the state.
The state Governor who was represented by Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha on Wednesday, during the official opening of 5 days refresher training for the newly recruited personnel held at JB Yakubu secretariat in Gusau,charged the newly recruited health personnel to be diligent to duty.
The deputy Governor charged the newly recruited health care providers to be diligent to duty.
He assured of government commitment to the improvement of health sector that would compete with other states in the near future across the country.
"The state government has approved the recruitment of health workers that included community health extension workers, community nursing and community midwifery among others in the state.
He called on them to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the ideals and policies of the present administration of Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun.
Earlier on,the state Commissioner for health represented by the Permanent Secretary Pharm. Aliyu Muhammad Maikiyo charged recruited personnel to be diligent in their duties.
He disclosed that new policies were introduced at the state ministry of health that such like human resource policy, infrastructural development and new policy on finance.
According to him the training was a rare privilege taking into cognisance that many recruited personnels could not receive such training and called on them to use the training and refresh themselves.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary Zamfara state primary health care Board Dr. Ismail Tukur said the appointment of the newly recruited health personnel was base on performance, "not just recruited,there was need for punctuality".he stressed.
He charged the participants to make use of the opportunity offered them,serve people and the facility diligently.
Dr Ismail explained that the refresher workshop would be more intensive which after the training the personnel would be posted to various health facilities across the 14 local government areas in the state.
He assured of prompt payment of salary of the newly recruited health workers at the end of every 25th of each month as directed by Governor Mohammed Matawalle in the state.
Also,the representative of the developmental partners, Dr Yusuf Argungu of the world health organisation (WHO) thanked the state government for the timely support to health sector in the state.
"This is the first time since my stay in Zamfara state for some years now,with this recruitment, it would boost health care Delivery system of the state ".
