The President Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ZACCIMA), Alhaji Hamza Musa Maibulawus has voluntarily resigned from office to save his hard earned reputations in the state.

Hamza Maibulawus who announced his voluntary resignation on Wednesday evening while addressing ZACCIMA Council members in Gusau Zamfara State capital, said his resignation has become necessary to save his reputations.

He further explained to his council members that, he alleged some powerful figures from both the State Government and within the chamber had embarked on movements against his leadership, the development which he cried he could not contain.

“I stand here before you to inform all our members a decision I have taken that today at this moment, I voluntarily resign from office as President of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce".

“I know my voluntary resignation comes to you with full of surprise, simply because your expectations must have thrown on different issues surrounding matters within the chamber that need urgent attention.

“I must admit that, some powerful figures especially within the State Government were allegedly witch hunting me with a view to bring a set back to our struggle of developing the chamber in the state".
