Insecurity: Zamfara Anti thuggery arrests Council Secretary,10 others during APC rally.

The Zamfara state anti thuggery committee has arrested 10 suspected thugs including local government council secretary for aiding political thuggery in the state.

Parading the suspects on Thursday night in Gusau, the chairman Zamfara state anti thuggery, drug abuse and other related crimes Bello Mohammed Bakyasuwa said the suspects were apprehended during All progressive Congress (APC) youths rally organised in Gusau, state capital. 

Bakyasuwa disclosed that the suspected youth were arrested with dangerous weapons by the anti thuggery personnel during the rally.



According to him, while attempting to arrest the suspects 2 of the anti thuggery personnel were seriously wounded to point of coma.

"Two of our personnel were hospitalized as a result of seriously injured after they were attacked by thugs during the rally."

He revealed that due to efforts of the anti thuggery personnel, they were able to arrest 1o political thugs and a council Secretary of tsafe local government who was allegedly arrested for aiding thugs with dangerous weapons.




He appealed to political parties and politicians to stop sponsoring youths in thuggery during electioneering campaign for peaceful coexistence in the state.


He warned that his committee will not condone any forms of thuggery that could destabilize peace in the state.


“Our team will work tirelessly to ensure that all forms of thuggery, drugs abuse and other related political instability have been  curtail in the state".

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state.
