Guber/ States Elections: IGP reinforces police with Anti-Riot equipments in Zamfara

The Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba has enhanced the operational capacity of the Zamfara State Police Command through deployment of additional Manpower, Operational vehicles and Non - lethat aweapons in the state. 

Also,the command has been reenforced with additional Personnel Protective Equipmrnt and Anti - Riot Equipment from Force Headquarters, Abuja ahead of March 18th 2023 Governorship and  State House of Assembly Elections.  

The Commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf has expressed  aporeciation to the Inspector-General of Police for his intervension to the Command.

He called on officers and men to redouble their effort and work towards achieving the mandate of conducting credible, fair and hitch free election in the state. 

The CP kolo tasked Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, DPOs and all officers and men deployed for election security duty  to be  neutral, firm and steadfast.

 "You shoild ensure the Command consolidates on the success recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. 

The CP further charged the general public to be law abiding and desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state, and at the same time, continue to pray for peaceful conduct of the elections in the state and country in general.

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state. He called on Governor Dauda Lawal to as a matter of urgency check mate the activities of those recruited as community protection Guards and their heads before their activities goes out of hand in the state.
