Zamfara re-run election : Senator Marafa's commends presence of security personnel

Zamfara state All Progressives Congress (APC) central Senatorial candidate, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has called on supporters to remain law abiding, says election is not do or die affair.

Senator Marafa while addressing newsmen at his Yandoto Daji resident  on Saturday, commended the security agents for deploying security personnel to the affected poling units,  during the rerun elections in the state. 

"I called on our supporters to continue to be law-abiding and remain resolute to APC  struggle in the state ".

He appealed to the people of his constituency particularly his supporters not to take the election as do-or-die affair, added that, “God gives power to whom he wishes”.

 Senator Marafa has strongly lambasted the People’s Democratic party (PDP) for accusing the All Progressives Congress (APC) of vote buying during the rerun election.

He stressed that, the PDP was always crying foul where there was none, adding that, “The PDP is always in the habit of complaining where there is no complaint”.

It was gathered that during the supplimentary election,there was large turn out of voters in all the poling units visited by our correspondents and the election was held peacefully.

The supplementary election for Zamfara Central Senatorial zone where our correspondent visited has commenced peacefully.

It was further gathered that the voters turnout was impressive  especially women, in most of the polling units visited where the rerun took place in the state. 

It was learned that there was tight security in many polling units affected for the supplimentary election exercise in the state.

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state. He called on Governor Dauda Lawal to as a matter of urgency check mate the activities of those recruited as community protection Guards and their heads before their activities goes out of hand in the state.
