NLC,TUC condemned non payment of salary in Zamfara

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) Zamfara state chapter has lamented the non payments of salary, urged state government to save the lives of families of the civil servants in the state.
In a joint statement signed NLC, TUC chairmen in the state Comrade Sani Halliru and Saidu Mudi respectively, issued on Wednesday in Gusau said the two unions condemned non-payment of two consecutive salary.
The statement reads:, "Series of issues prevailed and meetings were vigorously held in respect of the above subject matter involving all the stakeholders on the best way it could be handled where the two labour centres, the Nigeria labour congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, strongly condemned and expressed their dismay over the nonchallant attitude of the Zamfara state government to pay salary of its workers for two consecutive months".
"Having patiently waited for the salary to be paid, the two labour centers therefore as a matter of responsibility request the state government to save lives of workers and that of their families".
According to them, the two unions, heavily relies on salary and being their legitimate earnings and their statutory rights to with immediate effect pay the salary with a view to alleviating their hardships.
"The NLC/TUC have understood and are concerned about how aggrieved state civil servants are, however, we crave for their indulgence,support and cooperation as we move to fight for your rights, therefore we urge you to be more patient and persevere" .
The unions has assured and vowed not to relent until workers salary were paid by God grace(Inshaa Allah) .
