2023 election violence: APC Victims Decry lack of Medical Attention in Zamfara.

No fewer than 50 APC supporters in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara state who sustained various degree of injury during by the April 15th re-run electlon have cried out for help as they are languishing for lack of medical attention.

Investigation revealed that the APC supporters sustained injuries as a result of attack by PDP supporters at various polling units during the election and after the election were left in attended by the party, key stakeholders.

Majority of the victims were critically ill and could not afford to have medical attention due to the poor financial status.

The spokeperson of the victims, Mohammed Sani Takori whose house was also destroyed atfermath of the election, says "t is very unfortunate a party like APC see no moral responsibility to it's member as important".

Takori a former member of the House of Representatives, wondered how APC stakeholders, could not come to the aid of the victims morally and financially to seek for medical attention.

"It is shooking after, we wholeheartedly supported the APC candidate, Ahmad Usman Lancaster as a result of the encounter with PDP supporters we were seriously injured and nobody cares to look after us", he added.

According to him, majority of the victims could not seek for medical attention due to poor financial status but rather languishing at home.

He lamented the non chalant attitude of the APC leadership at State level key critical statkeholders, such former governors Abdul'Aziz Yari and Bello Matawallle for their failure to visit the victim even through delegation.

The victims spokesperson, however, appealed to the national leadership of the APC to intervene and compelled the state APC state chapter and the key stakeholders to do the needful by paying a visit to commensurate with the victims.
