Sallah Largees: Ex-Governor Matawalle donates Cows, Rams, Cash worth N200m to supporters in Zamfara.

Former Governor of Zamfara state,Dr. Bello Matawalle Maradun has distributed Sallah (Eid-elkabir) welfare packages to his supporters worth Two hundred Million Naira (N200 million).
In a statement signed by the publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara state, Malam Yusuf Idris said the welfare packages included; Rams, Cows as well as cash to different categories of people in the state.
“Matawalle, who is the leader of the All Progressives Congress APC in the state, directed the state APC leadership under its Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani to handle the distribution so that all those pencilled for the animals and money received their share in good time for the event.
According to the statement, Under the arrangement, APC loyalists, women,youth groups,Associations and selected individuals across the state will equitably receive their shares.
“Others include orphans and the less previleged, party supporters, Islamic scholars, media practitioners, and social media handlers, among others.” The statement added.
The party chairman appreciated former Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle's efforts for the gesture.
"It's coming at the right time and so the gesture will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the current hardship".
Danfulani said a committee was set up to ensure that all the targeted beneficiaries got their shares and urged other well to do members of the society to emulate the former Governor in this drive whose immense benefits will come to them both in this world and the hereafter.
Members of the committee included APC State Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Dr. Nura Isah, Dr. Jalaludeen Ibrahim Maradun, Surajo Habib Tsafe, Hon. Yusuf Abubakar Zugu and Hon. Ibrahim Maaji.
Matawalle also urged Muslims in the state and the country to intensify efforts of worship in the first ten days of Zul-hajj to seek for Allah’s intervention to end the security challenges facing Zamfara and other parts of the country.
He solicited for special prayers for the successful implementation of the renewed hope project initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the benefit of Nigerians.
