Self-employment: NDE trains 50 Youth on goats farming in Zamfara.

The National Directorate of Employment NDE in Zamfara state has flagged off training of 50 unemployed Youth on goat farming.
The training of goat farming was aim to revive AgriBusiness and reduce unemployment rate in the state and country at large.
Declaring the programme open today in Gusau,Director General of NDE Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said the training was to enhance food production, provide more profitable farm income, enhance quality of life for farm families, communities and provide Massive employment.
The DG who was represented by the Zamfara state coordinator of NDE, Hajiya Hadiza Hamza Kolo noted that, the Federal Government through the NDE resolved to bring Agriculture to its original pride of place in the country, against the backdrop of the fact that Agriculture was once the mainstay of the Nigeria economy and more especially in the north.
According to him fifty unemployed Youth were drawn from the three senatorial district of the state with different educational background who had indicated interests to take farming as business venture
"Six hundred unemployed Youth from eleven states including FCT were selected to participate in the small stock, Goat production training scheme to make them self reliant".
Also Speaking, the director rural employment promotion Department ( REP) NDE Headquarters Abuja represented by Mr Pagbemi Joshua urged the participants to pay more attention with a view to maximizing benefits of the training, having gotten privilege to participate in the programme.
In her remark,one of the beneficiary, Malama Nasima Lawali expressed delight and assured that they will make judicious use of the training and called on Government, politicians and other well to do individuals to join hands with NDE to mitigate the rate of unemployment among youths,"this would checkmate the insecurity bedeviling the country".she said.
