The Chief of Staff to Kebbi State Governor, Barrister Attahiru Maccido, has described as untrue the rumour going around that civil servants, traditional leaders and business men with no political affiliation with APC were which hunted by the present administration.

 The Chief Of Staff made it clear to the people during an interview with Journalists in his residence at DG's quarters in Birnin Kebbi metropolis shortly after Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu addressed crowd over his Victory at supreme Court judgment. 

He said it was a pure imagination of those who were unhappy with the rapid transformation of the state as recorded by Governor Nasir Idris within the shortest time of his stay in office.

 He advised the public to turn deaf ears into such malicious rumours by  pessimists in the state.

Barrister Maccido noted that quality roads were being constructed across the state, fertilizers and palliative were distributed to members of the public and recently CNG and solar powered pumps were given to farmers and all of these were done without consideration to party affiliation to political party but in the interest of bringing development to the state.

According to him, Government had been paying salaries of workers promptly in addition to continued payment of pensions and gratuities to retirees.

"It was the responsibility of our administration to do so and therefore,it was unfortunate  for some unscrupulous elements to cook up and spread stories capable of destabilizing the peace in Kebbi State".he said.

The Chief of Staff said the period of litigation had passed, adding that it was necessary to close ranks and  sheath their swords  by joining hands with Governor Idris led Administration to bring about positive changes that would in the next eight years place Kebbi above other states in the country interms of infrastructural and socioeconomic developments.

"Let me assure the people of Kebbi State that the present government would protect the fundamental rights of every citizen. We shall make sure that all the towns, cities and villages were provided the basic necessities of life in order to promote peaceful coexistence amongst them".He said

He further stated the administration has no time to waste on trivial issues that would distract its attention as contained in such rumours. 

"We are mainly committed in providing gainful employment to our teeming youth through commerce and agriculture. By so doing we would fight poverty. This is the mission of Kauran Gwandu led Government".he maintained
