Kebbi Bye election:APC wins yauri/shanga/Ngaski Fed.Constituency

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Umar Garba Uba(Bullet) in Kebbi state has won the seat of House of Representatives for Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski during the Saturday's bye-election in the state.
Declaring the result at the collation centre in Yauri, headquarters of Yauri Local Government Area on Sunday, the Returning Officer, Prof. Abbas Yusuf Bazata of Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) said Umar Garba-Uba of APC was returned elected.
He said Garba-Uba polled a total of 54,885 defeating his close contestant, Garba Hassan of People's Democratic party (PDP) who got 16,652 votes while other parties trailed behind.
According to him, the total number of votes casted stood at 74,469, valid votes were 72,343, while invalid, 2,126.
The returning officer said: "I Prof. Abbas Yusuf-Bazata, the Returning Officer of Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski federal constituency wish to declare that Umar Garba-Uba of APC is returned elected haven won the highest number of votes and certified all requirements of the law."
He expressed appreciation to INEC officials, party agents, security agencies, members of the press and all other stakeholders for playing a vital role to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
The election was conducted peacefully without report of chaos and hitches across the areas.
