Rerun/Bye election: APC candidate wins Federal House of Reps in Kebbi.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),Kebbi state has declared Alhaji Rabiu Garba-Kamba of All Progressive Congress (APC )who won Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency re-run election in the state.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Aliyu Abdullahi-Turaki, made the declaration in Kamba, Dandi Local Government Area on Sunday.

According to him, Garba-Kamba the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) polled 32,432 votes to defeat his closest contender, Abdullahi Umar-Kamba of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 31,858 votes. 

"I, Prof. Aliyu Abdullahi-Turaki, hereby certify that I am the Returning Officer of the 2024 Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency re-run election held on the 3rd of February 2024.

“The election was contested and Rabiu Garba-Kamba of APC having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” he said.

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state.
