Zamfara CPG launched : Kebbi Gov. joins 5 North West Governors.

 

North West Governors during the launching of Zamfara Community Protection Guards,held on Wednesday in Gusau, state capital.

The Kebbi State Governor,Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has joined his North-West counterpart during the launching of Zamfara State Community Protection Guards ( CPG )in the state.

The protection guards, initiated by Zamfara State Government was meant to complement the efforts of security agencies by beefing up security of lives and property of Zamfara people.

The screened agile youths, passing out on Wednesday were trained by security personnel on rudiments of security operation as well as ways to restore lasting peace across zamfara and North West states.

Governors in attendance were Dr Ahmad Aliyu,Sokoto,Dr Dikko Umar-Radda, Katsina ,Alhaji Umar Namadi,Jigawa Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf,kano and Kaduna state Sen. Uba Sani, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.

Among the kebbi state governors entourage are are the Secretary to Kebbi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Umar-Dutsinmari, Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Hon. Sama'ila Yakubu-Augie, APC state Chairman, Abubakar Kana-Zuru, Accountant General Alhaji Bello Naliku Aminu Zurumawa, Alhaji Ibrahim A. I Suru, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, SA Special Duties, and Chairman Birnin Kebbi and Danko Wasagu Local Government Area in the state.

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman

Attahiru Ahmed Gusau  The North West zonal chairman of New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) Alhaji Sani Danmasani  has disclosed that the party belongs to elected members, alleged  that only unemployed characters around Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were interested on NNPP change of logo. Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state. He called on Governor Dauda Lawal to as a matter of urgency check mate the activities of those recruited as community protection Guards and their heads before their activities goes out of hand in the state.
