Economic Hardship: NUZAMSS president donate N500.000 to students, organizes Iftar in Zamfara.

The President of the National Union of Zamfara State Students (NUZAMSS), Mubarak Musa Manager has donated N500,000 to 120 students as part of assistance to cushion economic hardship in the state.

NUZAMSS president has also organized Ramadan breakfast for students of Amadu Bello University Zaria at Shinkafi elite in the state.

Mubarak Musa Manager who also double as Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Association of Sciences Students, (NASS) Northwest said a committee was formed to effect the disbursement to the benefiting students in the state.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the spokes person to NASS president, Comrade AbdulRazak Shuaibu,NAMS president ABU-Zaria chapter said It is not news that Nigerian students are currently experiencing a difficult period of their lives, especially those on campuses, due to the high level of inflation in the country.

"In response to this, the Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Association of Sciences Students, (NASS) Northwest Zone, Comrade Mubarak Musa Manager, has released half a million naira (N500,000) to be disbursed to selected students".

"The disbursement has already begun, and some selected students will benefit from the intervention,a committee was formed by the Zonal Coordinator, which is responsible for collating and presenting the names of beneficiaries for the disbursement."

He disclosed that already some names were submitted added that more names will be submitted. 

"The aim is to ensure fair distribution, which the Zonal Coordinator always advocates for". He said.

"This disbursement is the first of its kind ever made in the history of NASS Northwest Zone, and the Zonal Coordinator is determined to deploy more interventions that will mitigate the hike in prices of food and commodity prices.

affirmed the disbursement of N500,000 naira to students,Where 120 students will  benefit, In addition with special Iftar for zamfara state students at Shinkafi Elite". He added.

He called on beneficiaries to use the fund wisely for the popurse it was meant to mitigate the current economic hardship.

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state.
