Food security: Mattawale donates Fertilizer to APC members in Zamfara

The Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle has today donated 15 trucks of assorted fertilizer to members of All Progressive Congress(APC) across 147 wards of zamfara state.

The 15 trucks of fertilizer which was handed over on Sunday to state APC secretary by the Chairman of APC, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani for onward distribution to the beneficiaries across the state, said it's part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's agricultural transformation programme on food security.

Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani said the Minister's gesture to the APC members in the state will boost the agricultural output, economic growth and development. 

He explained that part of the fertilizer was allocated to the Minister by the federal government and he purchased additional trucks in order to completement the federal government agriculture initiatives to ensure a bumper harvest in the coming wet farming season 

He further said that all the 15 trucks will be distributed free of charge to all identified beneficiaries with the sole aim of supporting farmers.

Danfulani also thanked the Minister, who doubles as the leader of the party in the state for the gesture.

He recalled that during his time as governor, Matawalle kept very close ties with all members of the party, which helped in sustaining unity among leaders and supporters of the party.

The chairman assured that the fertilizer will reach members of the party across all the 147 wards of the 14 local government areas of the state, 

"I implored other leaders to imbibe such goodwill to the people of the state for more increase on food security ".

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state.
