Senator Yari's Maternity support launches free test to pregnant women in Zamfara.

As part of his efforts to reduce maternal mortality in Zamfara state, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar maternity expenses support programme has flagged off free anti natal test to pregnant women across Zamfara state.

Senator Yari's maternity expenses support programme which is under the coordination of APC Unity and reconciliation forum in Zamfara state, gave the assurance on Thursday during the flagged off of free test to pregnant women held at Talata Mafara General hospital in the state.

According to the chairman Zamfara state APC Unity and reconciliation forum Alhaji Mande Umar said senator Abdulaziz Yari's maternity expenses support programme would cover all the 14 local government areas in the state.

He explained that the programme of free maternity support would continue for every pregnant woman upto the time of her delivery in the state.

He emphasized that the A.A Yari maternity expenses support programme was further supported by Member Federal House of representative, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Bungudu who donates delivery kits to each of the pregnant woman in the state.

"The delivery kits includes baby care, soap, detergent, baby bathing kits, antiseptic, Vaseline ,towel, pampers and napkin". 

Mande Umar revealed that the programme was kick start at Talata Mafara and would continue at General hospitals and health care centers across the state.

"I want to assure our pregnant women across the state that,we have put our members at various health centers including general hospitals who would continue to monitor free pregnancy test and register women that would benefit from gesture upto the time of delivery".

Don't politicize Community Protection Guards - Marafa warns Zamfara Gov.

Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state.
