2024 annual meeting: Our aimed is to make community smile - Exec.Director VAI

The Executive Director of Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI), a non governmental organization in Zamfara state,Musa Umar Aboki has disclosed that their aim is put smile to every community.
The VAI Executive Director made the disclosure on Monday evening during the 2024 annual end of the year meeting held at the VAI conference Hall in Gusau, Zamfara state.
Aboki who was full of joy and happiness during the year end meeting, appreciated the support of his staff since they started the journey as NGO in the state.
"Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI ) our aimed is to put smile to every community, Alhamdulillah, Glory be to God, despite insecurity in the state,since we started the journey we have not lost any of our staff". He revealed.
According to him, in 2024, VAI has received awards from partners like International Alert UK funded NGO, Cleen foundation among others.
He explained that VAI project with International Alert was promoting stability, access to justice and accountability to victims in the state.
"Our project aimed was inclusive participation of community groups in alternative dispute resolution to reduce the prevalence of community-level violence,which I believe we have recorded success". He stressed.
Musa Aboki further appreciated the support of partners and staff of VAI for their contributions to the success recorded in 2024 in the state.
Earlier on ,the senior program officer, Mustafa Mohammed said VAI has initiated alot of programmes that has significant impact in the state and were successfully implemented with the support of other NGOs .
In a goodwill message,the Zamfara state Anthony General and commissioner of Justice Dr Abdulaziz Sani SAN said he is very much concern with anything for the community development.
"Anything good for the state, I'm very much concern with it,and I like to be associated with it,the present administration of Governor Dauda lawal is sincere and committed to programmes for the development in the state". He maintained.
He assured VAI, that his doors are open at any time for meaningful discussion toward the development of our communities.
Also,The commissioner ministry of health Dr Nafisa Mohammed Maradun appreciated the support of VAI and assured that her ministry would always remain supportive to the developmental programs in the state.
In their separate goodwill messages, partners that included Hajiya Zainab Nyako from society for family health, Halima Garba Pro- health international and Zamfara state AGILE deputy Coordinator all appreciated the VAI support in the state.
"With Voluntary Aid Initiative we are able to reached alot of communities where we can't reach,they are Frontline in the executing AGILE project on girl child education".they stated.
