Girl education: MPC trains Zamfara enumerators on AGILE project

The Zamfara state Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project in collaboration with Media and Publicity Consult (MPC) have embarked on training capacity building for enumerators on important of girl child education in the state.

The enumerators capacity training was flagged off for Zamfara West Senatorial zone on Wednesday at Mafara town, headquarters of Talata Mafara local government area in the state.

In his opening remarks,the AGILE consultant Professor Abubakar Aliyu liman represented by chief executive officer Media and publicity Consult (MPC) Malam Nasiru Usman Biyabiki disclosed that enumerators were drawn from six local government councils of Zamfara West Senatorial zone.

Biyabiki explained that the integrated marketing communications campaign training and capacity building was aimed to enhance enrollment drive of girl child education.

"The drawn enumerators from the local government councils were expected to find out and report reasons on why girls child were not enrol in school,or drop out from school".

Earlier on, the Emir of Talata Mafara Dr. Bello Mohammed Barmo has pledged to support AGILE project in the Emirate.

The Emir while receiving members of the Media publicity Consult lead by Mal Nasiru Usman Biyabiki said his Emirate was ready to support girls child education,added that knowledge is compulsory.

"No development without education, girls education is important and Education remain the bedrock of development". He mentioned.

At the training, technical session on Data collection tool simulation and question and answer were lead by Computer analyst Mr Hibban Buhari and Engineer Yusuf Yahaya director research and documentation MPC in the state.

Only unemployed characters interested in NNPP logo change - N/W Chairman
