2027: Zamfara APC urges Security to Arrest PDP women leader over threat to oppositions.

The All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Zamfara state,has urged security agencies to arrest state PDP women leader Hajiya Rabi Madawaki over uncultured threat utterances to opposition parties ahead of 2027 general election in the state.

In a statement issued on Monday evening by APC publicity secretary Yusuf Idris said APC as a strong opposition party in the state will not be intimidated by any threats from the Zamfara PDP government and they should know that the will of the people must prevail.

The statement reads in part: "Elections are always supposed to be free, fair and non violent in a civilised society and that is why under a democratic setting such as what Nigeria is trying to accomplish,  contesting candidates vying for elective positions go round the nooks and crannies of their areas of interest to appeal to the electorate to vote for them using mouth watering promises,  some to be fulfilled after election with some never seeing the light of day.

"As we are fast approaching another election season and aspirants to various elective positions are beginning to indicate interests to such positions in order to lobby support from the electorate, the state PDP Women Leader, Hajiya Rabi Madawaki in the presence of the governor's wife,  Hajiya Huriyya Dauda  has come out with a completely different but savage way of forcing out support and subsequently,  votes for the governor,  Mr. Dauda Lawal in the 2027 governorship election in the state. 

"She said in Hausa language at a gathering held in Gusau on Friday,  16/5/2025 that translated as 'anyone who does not vote for Dauda, we will maim, beat him ' (zamuci ubanshi zamu yi mashi duka), she said these words repeatedly to send out her message and remind people of the state what they did in 2023.

"This came from a PDP leader, who is a nobody in the officialdom of the state affairs,  and if she could say this,  what possibly could the governor and his gang be planning against Zamfara electorate.

"We call on the security agencies especially the police and DSS to immediately arrest the women leader, Hajiya Rabi Madawaki over her uncultured utterances,  moreover,  that she is not covered by any immunity.

"The statement added that threat to live and intimidation those are the things Nigerians are trying to remove from the political scene with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu taking the lead through influences to get more people into his party, the APC and on his side, come 2027 general elections". He mentioned.
