Conditions of our Primary Health Care unacceptable - Zamfara Gov.

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has pledged to renovate and re-equip all key Primary Health Care Centers across State,says condition of our primary healthcare centers unacceptable.

 In a statement issued on Sunday evening by the information officer Zamfara state ministry of health Suleiman Isah said the Governor assured of overhauling key primary health care centers by the end of the year, including Shagari Primary Health Care (PHC), Dr. Karima PHC, and Bungudu PHC. 

He stated that the Governor's commitment comes as part of his administration's declaration on state of emergency on health sector in the state.

During the visits to the aforementioned healthcare facilities, Governor Lawal expressed deep concern over the current state of infrastructure and the lack of essential medical equipment. 

"The condition of our primary healthcare centers is unacceptable," Lawal stated during his inspection at Shagari Primary Health Care (PHC). 

"We are determined to transform these facilities into modern, well-equipped centers that can effectively serve the needs of our people."

Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, the state's Commissioner of health, expressed gratitude for the governor's proactive approach to addressing the health sector's challenges. 

"Lawal's commitment to revitalizing our primary healthcare centers demonstrates his unwavering dedication to the well-being of the people of Zamfara State," Maradun said.
