Foundation trains 300 health providers on family planing in Zamfara

A non governmental organization Health for Life and Development foundation has began training of 300 health providers on family planing in Zamfara state.
This was disclosed by the Executive Director of the foundation health for life Dr Abubakar Danladi during the flagged off of train the trainees held at Jaiz Hotel in Gusau,the state capital.
Dr Danladi explained that the training was to aveil health providers with modern and safety family planning method using contraceptive in the state.
According to him,the health providers were drawn from 25 health care facilities that includes General hospitals, federal medical center and specialist hospital in the state, which at the end of the training they would be well equiped on family planing method using contraceptive.
"We have selected 50 participants for the first batch who would now be trained on family planing and later the trainees would go for a step down training with aim to train 300 all in all across the state."he mentioned.
He stressed that the training of health providers on family planing is one of the foundation broader project implementation,now using contraceptive method on family planing,which at the end hope to achieve with yielded result in the state.
The commissioner of health Dr Nafisa Mohammed Maradu represented by the Executive chairman Zamfara state health service management board Dr Mustafa Marafa disclosed that Governor Dauda lawal administration is doing a lot in terms of health care delivery in the state.
It was gathered that the training was conducted by Health for Life and Development foundation in collaboration with Zamfara state ministry of health with support from catalytic opportunity fund (COF).
