World Red Cross Day: Zamfara branch donates food, sanitary pads, detergents to Orphanage home.

As part of line up activities to mart world Red Cross Day,the Zamfara state Branch has presented a donation of sanitary pads,Rice and cartoons of detergent to Orphanage home in Gusau the state capital.

The Day three celebrations has also witnessed the sanitation exercise carried out by the members and volunteers at the orphanage home in Gusau  Zamfara state.

Presenting the donation ,the branch acting chairman Shehu Mohammed assisted by the branch secretary Ibrahim Bello Garba disclosed that the gesture was part of the humanitarian services rendered to less privileged in the state.

According to the Zamfara Branch acting chairman, sanitation exercise was conducted in nooks and crannies at premises of orphans home in Gusau.

"Food stuffs, cartoons of sanitary pads, cartoons of detergents and other Sanitation materials were also presented", he mentioned.

Receiving the items the Zamfara state commissioner for women and children development represented by incharge at the orphanage home, appreciated the efforts of Red Cross in the state for the gesture.

"We appreciated the efforts of the Zamfara state branch of Red Cross towards the donation and assured to use the items judiciously for the purpose meant for." She said.

The Day three was also marked with an hour live phone in program at Vision FM Gusau highlighted the activities of the branch on humanitarian services by the branch secretary Ibrahim Bello Garba in the state.

World Human rights Day : We records Over 120 abuse, neglect Cases - Zamfara NHRC

From Ahmed Attahir  The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Zamfara state has raised the alarm that over 120 violations of human rights were recorded in 2024 in the state.
