Zuru Emirate lauds Governor Idris on Developmental projects.

Zuru Emirate council in Kebbi state has lauded Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for the execution of various developmental projects at Emirate and the state at large.
This was disclosed by the Chairman Central Planning Committee 2025 International Uhola Festival, Lieutenant General Ishaya Bamaiyi (Rtd),while briefing newsmen as part of the preparations toward the successful festival, scheduled to hold in Zuru Town.
General Ishaya Bamaiyi appreciated Governor Nasir for supporting this year's event, assuring that all arrangements have been made to ensure a successful festival.
According to him, the festival was set to be a grand celebration of the Zuru Emirate's rich cultural heritage and its agricultural prowess.
Earlier on,the Emir of Zuru, Muhammad Sani Sami Gomo II, speaking at his palace said the festival was initiated to celebrate a bumper harvest of agricultural products in the area.
He further explained that Uhola festival is an annual celebration holding each year after the harvest starting from small communities,to the last community being around Ribah-Kanya.
"I'm optimistic that the festival will attract tourists and investors to the state, especially if cultural places are improved", he mentioned .
He commended Governor Nasir Idris for awarding the contract for the construction of Koko-Dabai road and other development projects, which he believed have positively impacted on the lives of the people in the state.
It was gathered that,this year's festival was scheduled to take place from 15th to 17th, May, 2025 by Zuru Emirate in the state.
