The former Commandant,Zamfara state Anti Thuggery Agency, Bello Muhammed Bakyasuwa has disclosed why he dragged Minister of state for defense Bello Mattawalle and four others,to Abuja High court,saying they provided false statement against him on Zamfara security issues.

In a statement issued in Gusau,Bello Bakyasuwa, a Security expert and retired Military officer described the action against him by Matawalle political boys as an attempt to damage his good character and image.

The statement reads in parts:"I dragged Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, his political alliance and a Media House (DCL Hausa) to High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja over defamation of character.

"As a low-abiding citizen, I goes to court to seek for legal action.Matawalle's and his political team over false statements, defamation of character and baseless allegations against me, related to security issues.

"I want to inform the general public that I filed case in court against Hon. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, (Minister of State of Defence), Anas Abdullahi Kaura, Sani Nasiru Makari, Aliyu Alhazzai Shinkafi and (DCL Hausa) a Media House that was used to create false statements against me.

"As I always says, I will not keep quiet while our communities are suffering from daily bandits attacks and kidnapping as well as suffering from heavy levies from bandits". Statement concluded.

World Human rights Day : We records Over 120 abuse, neglect Cases - Zamfara NHRC

From Ahmed Attahir  The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Zamfara state has raised the alarm that over 120 violations of human rights were recorded in 2024 in the state. This was disclosed by the Zamfara state coordinator NHRC Abdullahi Abubakar on Wednesday during the commemoration of 2024 world human rights day in the state.  The coordinator expressed concern over the alarming increase in human rights violations across the state.  "We have recorded over 120 cases of human rights violations so far in 2024, including issues such as abuse, neglect, and the infringement of fundamental freedoms".
