2027: APC reaffirms to reclaim Zamfara as Council secretary decamp to APC.

The All Progressive Congress APC in Zamfara State has reaffirmed it's commitment to reclaim Zamfara in 2027,as Kaura Namoda local government council (LGC) secretary Hon.Mohammed Lawal kurya decamped to APC in the state.

Hon. Lawal kurya who defected to APC was the PDP candidate in the just concluded Kaura Namoda South state Assembly bye election in the state.

Declaring his support to the APC on Saturday in Gusau,the state capital, at a crowded event organised by Hon Yazid Shehu Danfulani Project held at Taula Event Center, Gusau, Hon Muhammad Lawal Kurya said his exit was informed by lack of PDP direction in the state. 

He also pointed out that he realised that during the by-election, over 90 percent of the electorate, especially the youth, are APC supporters in spite of the fact that PDP was in charge. 

Receiving Hon. Mohammed kurya,the state APC chairman represented by APC Publicity Secretary, Hon Yusuf Idris Gusau expressed happiness over the development assured that the APC will continue to be the party to beat in Zamfara State. 

According to him, APC would give equal treatment to all other members without segregation and urged new decamped member to remain good citizens and law abiding to attract more members. 

The state APC publicity secretary appreciated the party leaders in the state especially former governors Bello Mohammed Matawalle now Minister of State for Defence and senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar now Senator for their examplery leadership.

He maintained that APC is optimistic of reclaiming Zamfara come 2027 considering the acceptance and the unity of the party in the state. 

Idris further said many PDP leaders across board in the state will soon join APC as plans have already been concluded on the project.

The formal declaration of  Muhammadu Lawal kurya the immediate past Secretary of Kaura Namoda local government council into the APC was witnessed by the state welfare secretary, Hon. Bashir Idris Ataka his deputy Alh Shehu J Muhammad,  Special adviser to the Minister of State for Defence Hon. Ibrahim Maigandi Danmalikin Gidan Goga and the convener of Yazid Shehu Danfulani Project Mallam Abubakar Sadiq, among others.

World Human rights Day : We records Over 120 abuse, neglect Cases - Zamfara NHRC

From Ahmed Attahir  The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Zamfara state has raised the alarm that over 120 violations of human rights were recorded in 2024 in the state.
