Mother's upbringing:Why we support women in Zamfara - Commissioner Yandi

 


Zamfara State NAWOJ executives led by chairperson Jamila Musa Kanoma during their recent visit to the commissioner for local government, Engineer Ahmed Yandi.

The Zamfara State commissioner for local government affairs Engineer Ahmed Yandi has explained why the state government gives priority to women and children, saying mother's child upbringing contribute to decent society.

Engineer Ahmed Yandi disclosed this while hosting the executives of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Zamfara State at his office in the state.

"zamfara state government gives priority to women and children in the state,and i assured you this ministry would give all support and cooperation". He said.

Earlier on,the Zamfara State NAWOJ chairperson Hajiya Jamila Kanoma said they were in the commissioner's office to seek for his support to sensitize women and youth to become good ambassadors to the society.

"Our major aim of the visit is to get support on sensitizing women and youths across the 14 Local government areas to become good Ambassadors, and to know that having knowledge in mother upbringing of children contribute to the decent,God fearing and free crime society " she stated.

According to the Zamfara NAWOJ chairperson Jamila kanoma, women have many role to play in the society, particularly upbringing the future leaders.

World Human rights Day : We records Over 120 abuse, neglect Cases - Zamfara NHRC

From Ahmed Attahir  The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Zamfara state has raised the alarm that over 120 violations of human rights were recorded in 2024 in the state.
