RUWASSA to rehabilitate 248 boreholes, 30 motorized in Zamfara

The Zamfara State government has approved the rehabilitation of 30 Solar Motorized Boreholes and 248 Hand Pump Boreholes through the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) in the state.
This was disclosed by the Program Manager Zamfara State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Dr. Abubakar Nasiru Galadima in the state.
"The rehabilitation of rural water supply facilities across the state is part of the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal in his commitment to improve access to safe drinking water for residents". He said
According to him, the rehabilitation exercise would soon commence,and is one the major component of Governor Dauda Lawal’s Rescue Mission Agenda, aimed at improving the living conditions of rural dwellers.
"The project will cover the rehabilitation of 30 Solar Motorized Boreholes and 248 Hand Pump Boreholes across the 14 LGAs". He revealed.
He added that the initiative will not only restore broken down water systems but also strengthen sanitation services, improve public health, and enhance the overall quality of life for rural communities in the State.
