Vaccines greatest gift offer to children - Zamfara Gov's wife.

The first lady and wife of Zamfara state Governor Hajiya Huriyya Dauda lawal has moved to strengthen routine immunization campaign,decorated local government council chairmen's wives as ambassadors, saying vaccines remain one of the greatest gifts we can offer to children.
The Zamfara Governors wife stated this on Thursday in Gusau during the state level advocacy campaign on routine immunization and primary health care strengthening held at Dr karima primary health care center in the state.
"Today is indeed a joyful day. We gather not as government and citizens, but as one family joined by our shared love for our children. We are here to speak about something simple yet deeply important: keeping every child alive and healthy through routine immunisation". She said
According to her, "we are here to remind ourselves that prevention is better than cure and that vaccines remain one of the greatest gifts we can offer our children".
She maintained that Immunisation is more than a health intervention.It is an expression of love, a shield of protection and an act of faith."When we vaccinate our children, we are saying to them I love you and I am safeguarding your future.”
"Here in Zamfara, we have witnessed progress.More mothers are visiting the Primary Health Care centres. More babies are receiving their vaccines. Our midwives and nurses continue to work tirelessly, even in remote communities, to reach every household. I deeply appreciate all our health workers,you are the true pillars of our communities". She appreciated.
She further remind that, immunization must not slow down,there are still children who have not received any vaccines,the zero-dose children.said "These are not statistics; they are real babies in our villages, babies who can be protected if their mothers are informed, encouraged and guided".
"Our Mama Ambassadors,the wives of Local Government Chairmen,will take this message into the heart of every community.
"They will remind other mothers to bring their children for immunisation, to attend antenatal care and to keep regular contact with the health centres.
"My dear mothers, allow me to speak to your hearts:"The vaccines offered at the health centre are safe.They have been used in Nigeria and around the world for many years. They protect children from life-threatening illnesses such as measles, polio, diphtheria and tetanus.
"Please continue to remind our communities that vaccines are gifts from Allah, delivered through knowledge and science to preserve life". She appealed
"As we decorate our Mama Ambassadors today, we are not merely placing sashes on them. We are assigning them a mission,a sacred obligation to protect life and to spread truth. They will serve as the hands, the voices and the hearts of this campaign.
"Let us make Zamfara a shining example of compassion, care and protection for every child.Let us ensure that no child suffers from a disease we can prevent".
In his remarks,the chairman Zamfara state council of chiefs Emir of Anka His Royal Highness Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad disclosed that religion is not against immunization,said it's acceptable.
