Zamfara PDP Spokesperson Calls For Establishment Of Northern Committee On Security

People's Democratic Party (PDP), Publicity Secretary in Zamfara state Alhaji Haliru Andi has appealed to prominent personalities from Northern Nigeria to establish Committee On Security in the region.

Andi who was answering questions from reporters in Gusau  also suggested that, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state should be appointed to head the committee, considering his wealth of experience and expertise in the fight against insurgency as indicated in a paper he presented during a meeting at the Northern Governors Forum and Emirs held in Kaduna.

"As a stakeholder, I, wish to passionately appeal to the people of Northern Nigeria, urge the Northern Governors, Northern Emirs, Northern Elders Forum, stakeholders, NGOs, women organizations, youth organizations, and all well-meaning individuals to come together and establish a Northern Nigeria Committee on Insecurity".He said 

"This committee will chart a new course in the fight against banditry and insecurity in our region". 

"Governor Lawal's recent position paper on insecurity in Northern Nigeria, presented at the Northern Governors' Forum and Northern Emirs meeting in Kaduna, showcases his expertise and vision on this critical issue''.

"His clear stance against negotiating with bandits, coupled with his effective policies and achievements in Zamfara State, make him the ideal candidate to spearhead this effort".

Andi further explained that, with Governor Lawal at the helm, the committee could leverage his experience and leadership to drive meaningful change and bring lasting peace to our region.

"Let us unite behind this initiative and support Governor Lawal's leadership in the fight against insecurity in Northern Nigeria". He Concluded
