The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Zamfara state has expressed deep sorrow over demised of the Deputy Secretary General of the Union, Comrade Adamu Ango, saying late Ango was a committed unionist.
In a statement issued on Sunday night,the Zamfara NUT Executives describing his death as a painful loss to the entire teaching profession and the education sector in Nigeria.
The statement reads in parts:"The Zamfara State Chairman, Comrade Sanusi Abdullahi Sarkin Daji Anka, extended its heartfelt condolences to the National leadership of NUT, members of the National Executive Council (NEC), as well as the family, friends and associates of the late union leader.
"Comrade Sanusi Abdullahi stated that the Zamfara State Executive Council and teachers across the state received the news of Comrade Ango’s death with shock and sadness, noting that the late Deputy Secretary General dedicated his life to the service of teachers and the advancement of education in the country.
"Late Comrade Adamu Ango was a committed unionist, hardworking leader and a strong advocate for the welfare, unity and professional development of teachers nationwide,
his contributions to the growth and strengthening of the Nigeria Union of Teachers will always be remembered.
"While praying for the peaceful repose of his soul, Comrade Sanusi Abdullahi Sarkin Daji Anka asked Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, while also giving his family, colleagues and the entire NUT family the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss". The statement concluded.
