Kano: Amb. Idris Kurawa turbaned as Majidadin Danmalikin Kano.

Amidst pomp and pageantry, Dr. Ambassador Idris Ahmad Kurawa was on Sunday turbaned as the Majidadin Danmalikin Kano at a grand ceremony held in Rimin Gado, Kano State.  

According to Zainab Shaiba Abdullahi  Media Aide to Dr. Ambassador Idris Ahmad Kurawa in a statement stated that the 

colorful event drew a mammoth crowd of family members, friends, political associates, and well-wishers from across Nigeria who converged to witness the historic installation. 

Eight other distinguished personalities were also conferred with traditional titles during the ceremony.  

Conferring the title, the Hakimin Rimin Gado, Alhaji Dr. Auwal Mudi Yakasai, said the recognition was based on Kurawa’s unwavering dedication and immense contributions to society. 

He described the new Majidadin Danmalikin Kano as a young peacemaker whose efforts in supporting the less privileged and driving positive social impact have distinguished him among his peers. 

“Idris Ahmad Kurawa is a lovely, caring, and supportive individual. His selfless service to humanity and commitment to peace and development are worthy of emulation. It is on this basis that we found him deserving of the title Majidadin Danmalikin Kano_,” the Hakimi said.  

Dr. Yakasai extended his best wishes to all the new titleholders and prayed for continued peace in Rimin Gado and Kano State.  

Responding, Dr. Amb. Idris Ahmad Kurawa expressed profound gratitude to the Danmalikin Kano for the honor and thanked guests who traveled from far and near to celebrate with him.  

Visibly elated, Kurawa said the presence of loved ones made the occasion even more special. He prayed for their safe return and reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service.  

“This title is a call to do more. I reaffirm my commitment to continue serving humanity with greater zeal,” he said.  

Dr. Idris Ahmad Kurawa is a diplomat, philanthropist, and peace advocate. 

Through his initiatives, he has supported education, healthcare, and youth empowerment programs, particularly targeting vulnerable groups in Kano and beyond.  

The title Majidadin Danmalikin Kano is a prestigious traditional honor under the Danmalikin Kano, often conferred on individuals with proven records of community service and loyalty to the traditional institution.
