Kebbi Governor lauds APC leadership as he scales through Governorship screening.

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has successfully scaled through gubernatorial screening exercise conducted by the national body of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In Abuja.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Birnin-Kebbi by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, stated that the screening exercise, was conducted on Friday by the screening committee headed by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda at the Plateu State Liaison Office, Abuja. 

In his remarks,  Prof. the National Chairman congratulates Governor Idris on the successful screening which has invariably paves the way for his second term bid.

"Having met the requirement of the party and the provisions of the law, you have been successfully screened and qualified to contest for second term in office." He stated.

He explained that the APC Screening Committee for Sitting Governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats is chaired by himself.

Responding, the Kebbi State Governor and APC gubernatorial Aspirant, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris appreciates the APC national leadership for finding him worthy to be the flag bearer of the party for the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The Governor equally thanked the people of Kebbi State for their continued support and confidence in his administration, assuring them that his second term in the office would also provide more developments across all sectors of the economy.

The Governor according to the statement was accompanied by the State APC leadership led by Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, former Governor of the State, Saidu Usman Nasamu Dakingari, Acting Speaker State House of Assembly Rt Hon Samaila Muhammad Bagudo, SSG,Alh Yakubu Bala Tafida, Dr. Usman Sani Tunga, members of the House of Representatives, members State House of Assembly, members State Executive Council, and other party stakeholders.

Court orders Police to investigate criminal case filed by Ex-lawmer in Zamfara

From Ahmed Attahir  A Magistrate Court I sitting in Gusau Zamfara State capital has on Wednesday ordered Commissioner of Police to investigate alleged criminal case filed before the court by a former member House of Assembly, Yusuf Alhasan Kanoma, against Mustafa Jafaru kaura ,media aide to Zamfara Governor. The Presiding Judge Murtala Abdullahi refered the case to the Commissioner of Police for thorough investigation.
