Why Zamfara govt establishes Rural Road Agency- DG RARA

The Zamfara state government has explained why Rural Access Road Agency (RARA) office was established in the state, saying the Agency would provide more access to essential amenities.

This was disclosed by the new Director General of RARA in the state Engineer Haruna Dikko while speaking with newsmen in Gusau on Sunday in the state. 

According to him,RARA would provide more connectivity to agricultural, healthcare, and security facilities for increased socio-economic growth and development in the state. 

The Director General (DG) Engr. Haruna Dikko Gusau maintained that the Agency was created by the visionary leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal to enhance socio- economic growth and development in the state.

"The salient aim of creating Rural Access Roads Agency (RARA) is to build road infrastructure, bridges and culverts and make way for equal development in the community and bring people more closer for easy access to government programs." He stated. 

He revealed that the major duty of the agency is to ensure the realization of the manifestors of Governor Dauda Lawal's administration with the slogan rescue mission particularly on rural roads construction in the state. 

"Governor Dauda Lawal’s "Rescue Mission" agenda centered on six key pillars designed to revitalize the state, primarily focusing on security, agricultural, educational,and reform on infrastructure development".

He lauded the leadership style of Governor Dauda Lawal, describing him as a creative leader who is poised to promote and administer his people with honour and provision of viable projects that are characterised with quality and cost effectiveness.
