Dr Betta said the idea was to compliment the state and federal government efforts towards assisting less privileged persons to be medically fit and live a healthy living.   By Shamsuddeen Attahir  The Zamfara state government has directed individuals to prepare and obtain guns to defend themselves against the bandits as a result of persistent insecurity in the state.  The state government further directed  commissioner of police to issue license to all those who qualify and are wishing to obtain such guns to defend themselves. In a statement issued today by the state commissioner of information Ibrahim Dosara said, the act of terrorism has been a source of worry and concern to the people and government of the state, as such stiffer measures must be taken to arrest the menace.  He said, in order to deal decisively with the situation in most of the communities, government has no option than to allow people to buy guns and defend themselves. Zamfara Police rescues 14 kidnapped victims including 2 babies in forest.

In a statement issued on Thursday by zamfara state police command public relations officer SP Mohammed Shehu said the victims were rescued during an intelligence led search and rescue operation at kunchin kalgo forest  in Tsafe Local government area of the state. The Zamfara state primary Health care board (ZPHCB) has disclosed that despite security challenges,a total of one million five hundred and seventeen(1,517,000) persons has received Covid-19 vaccines in the state. This was disclosed on Tuesday in Gusau,during a media engagement and sensitization on routine immunization and primary health Care services in the state. The Executive Secretary Zamfara state primary Health Care Board,Dr Ismail Tukur Stressed that  routine immunization has been on,with the assistance of the state Governor. According to him,Zamfara has over 700 health facilities across the state and over 600 such facilities  were engaged in monthly routine immunization in the state.
