Proposed Bill: No NGOs,CSOs are above the law - Group tells National Assembly

2023 Hajj: 3100 intending pilgrims to perform hajj from Zamfara.

Ahmed Attahir  The Zamfara state Hajj commission has disclosed that a total of 3,100 intending pilgrims are to perform this year's hajj to Saudi Arabia from the State.  Speaking with newsmen in Gusau,the executive chairman of hajj commission in the state Alhaji Lawal Isah Abdullahi said all intending pilgrims would receive immunization before leaving for Saudi Arabia.  Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi further maintained that Covid 19 vaccine was also administered to all intending pilgrims as part of measures to arrest unforseen ailments from the State.  According to him, an enlightenment lectures was organised for the intending pilgrims on safety, measures and law governing pilgrims travelling for hajj in the state.  Executive chairman zamfara state Hajj commission, Alhaji lawal Isah Abdullahi.  "The commission has organised an enlightenment lectures for the intending pilgrims from all the 14 local government area in the state".  He disclosed that a total of 3,100 intending pilgrim

Zamfara APC accuse EFCC of Selective Justice

Ahmed Attahir  All Progressives Congress APC in Zamfara state has set up an 11-member Committee to investigate allegations committed by some of its members who engaged in anti-party activities during the last general elections in the state.  The Committee was set up following series of petitions against some members of the party in the state.  Inaugurating the Committee today at the APC secretariat in Gusau chairman of the party, Hon. NLC,TUC condemned non payment of salary in Zamfara

Polio: No child would be disfranchised from receiving Vaccination - ZPHCB

  Ahmed Attahir  Zamfara State Primary Health Care Board (PHCB) has assured that no child would be dispranchise from receiving polio vaccine as over 1m children were targeted for the vaccination exercise in the state.  Speaking during the media engagement meeting organized by the Zamfara state primary health care board held on Thursday in Gusau, the executive Secretary ZPHCB Dr Tukur Isma'il who was represented by health educator in the Board Danja Kurya said media played a key role to the success of activities of the Board in the state.   According to him, over 1 million children would be vaccinated during the forthcoming polio vaccination exercise across the state.  He disclosed that the integrated exercise consisted of fractional Inactivated Poliovirus vaccine( FIPV).  "This will be administered on 6 weeks to 59 months children and nobel Oral Poliomyelitis vaccines (NOPV) to be given to children of 0 to 59 months" . Ahmed Attahir  As part of effort to encourage school children and achieve SDG goals in agriculture Zamfara state  Universal Basic Education  Board has organised quiz competition for livestock development in the state.  The competition was organized under the department of school services UBE 2020/2021 for primary and junior secondary schools in the state.  The final quiz competition was  held today at Teachers Training and Development Center Bypass, Gusau,  the state capital and was organized through Agric Education training program (AETP) of the Board.
