Zamfara govt assures support to ACReSAL projects implementation.

From Ahmed Attahir  The Zamfara state government has assured of full  support to the implementation of projects activities of Agro Climatic  Resilience in Semi Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) in the state. This was disclosed by the commissioner of environment and solid mineral represented by the permanent secretary Alhaji Garba Altine Dauran during sensitization visit to Emirs and relevant traditional rulers for effective implementation of projects captured in the state. The permanent secretary Alhaji  Garba Altine Dauran assured that ACReSAL project was aimed to improve living standards of community in the state. Dauran maintained that ACReSAL projects has all the support and encouragement from the state Governor with adequate  backing for the implementation of the projects in the state. Ahmed Attahir Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has warned Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state not to politicize the newly established community protection Guards (CPG'S) in the state. Marafa gave the warning in an interview with newsmen at his home town Yandoton Daji on Tuesday evening shortly after the funeral prayer of one Magaji Lawali a closed alley to the senator who was allegedly torture to died by CPG's in the state. Failed Annual Dues : Kebbi Govt. suspends two private schools.

  Kebbi state Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar Tunga. From Aminu Umar Bukkuyum Kebbi state government has yesterday announced the indefinite suspension academic activities of two private schools in the state.  The State Commissioner for Higher Education,  Isah Abubakar Tunga made the announcement in a statement signed by his director higher education,  Aliyu Shehu jega. He mentioned the two affected private schools in the statement as; Lamido Umaru Mutube College of Advanced Studies and Health Sciences and Technology,Dakingari and SAHAM College of Health Sciences and Technology,Zuru. According to the Commissioner,  the suspension of their academic activities followed their failure to pay their annual dues of one hundred thousand each for the two consecutive years as 2022 and 2023 respectively.  The amount incurred is two hundred thousand each for the two affected institutions in the state.

From Aminu Umar Bukkuyum The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Umar Garba Uba(Bullet) in Kebbi state has won the seat of House of Representatives for Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski during the Saturday's bye-election in the state. Declaring the result at the collation centre in Yauri, headquarters of Yauri Local Government Area on Sunday, the Returning Officer, Prof. Abbas Yusuf Bazata of Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) said Umar Garba-Uba of APC was returned elected. He said Garba-Uba polled a total of 54,885 defeating his close contestant, Garba Hassan of People's Democratic party (PDP) who got 16,652 votes while other parties trailed behind.  According to him, the total number of votes casted stood at 74,469, valid votes were 72,343, while invalid, 2,126.
